About the Journal

Review of Law and Social Sciences (RLSS) is a peer-reviewed, open-access academic journal published by the International Centre for Sustainable Development and Research (SMC-Private) Limited. Established in 2023, RLSS provides an interdisciplinary platform for scholarly research on the relationship between law, society, institutions, governance, justice, and social change. The journal publishes original research that advances critical understanding of legal systems, public life, social structures, and contemporary policy challenges in Pakistan and beyond.

Mission

The mission of RLSS is to promote rigorous and accessible scholarship that examines law not only as a system of rules and institutions, but also as a social force that shapes human behaviour, public policy, governance, rights, justice, and community life. The journal seeks to provide a credible forum for researchers, academics, practitioners, and policymakers to engage with contemporary legal and social questions through empirical, doctrinal, theoretical, and interdisciplinary inquiry.

Aims and Scope

RLSS is committed to publishing original, high-quality research that contributes to scholarship in law, socio-legal studies, and the social sciences.
